This year marks the 20th anniversary of September 11th. On that date, multiple airplanes were hijacked and flown into American landmarks. Two crashed into the World Trade Center's Twin Towers in New York City. A third hit the Pentagon just outside Washington D.C. The fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
