Upcoming Holidays & Observances - January 2021

February is African American History Month, also known as Black History Month. It is a point in time to pay honor and remember the past and present accomplishments of African Americans. Established in 1926 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, known as the “Father of Black History,” it began as the celebration of Negro History Week, because it aligned with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
