Learn360 Plus Classroom Video on Demand is the ultimate streaming resource for K-12 educational communities! Use your ERS Portal login to explore this fantastic resource. Your students also have access via the ERS Library’s Kids Portal or Teen Portal.

In Learn360, teachers, students, and parents can access more than 191,500 media resources from any Internet-enabled device. Engaging landing pages make it easy to find videos, interactives, printables, audio content, STEM lessons & more. Landing pages can be filtered by grade level (all grades, elementary, or middle/high.) The enhanced, state-of-the-art platform makes it a powerful tool for flipped classrooms, blended instruction, project-based learning, and 1:1 environments. Resources are curated from more than 560 top educational providers, including an exclusive partnership with PBS, which delivers access to 2000+ licensed K-12 educational videos.

Created for middle and high schools, Classroom Video on Demand (CVoD) provides unlimited access to thousands of videos for all content areas. Video content is correlated to Common Core, national, state, IB Organization, C3 Framework for Social Studies, AASL, College Board AP, national STEM, and Next Generation Science Standards, as well as 21st Century Skills. 2nd Annual Picture Book Palooza with School Library Journal

Join SLJ on July 14 for their second annual SLJ Picture Book Palooza, an all-day, free virtual celebration of authors and artists dedicated to the visual dance and extraordinary craft of picture books! Come for a day packed with keynotes, author panels, and illustrator spotlights with visionary creators.

Over the years, National Poetry Month has become the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K–12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, publishers, families, and—of course—poets, marking poetry's important place in our lives. The ERS Library is excited to provide poetry study resources to contracting educators via our circulating library collection and the ERS Portal's digital content.

Technology Tips - February 2022

Google’s Jamboard is a free presentation tool that integrates interactive and collaborative elements in an easy-to-use interface. You can find Jamboard at https://jamboard.google.com, on that 9-dot Google App Launcher on most Google tools, or via free download at either the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store for mobile devices.

Jamboard’s deceptively simple interface hides a lot of its creative power, leaving it up to your imagination as to how best to share it with your class. You’ll start with a single document, or “Frame,” as Jamboard calls it. You can add up to a total of 20 Frames on a board.

You’ll find various tools, including a combination pen/marker/highlighter/brush tool with 6 simple colors, an eraser, post-it notes, image insert, shapes, text box tool, and a laser pointer. At the top center is an Expand Frame Bar button, used to add or remove Frames, or navigate through all Frames of your board.

How are Jamboards used in the classroom? As exit tickets, social-emotional learning tools, classification tools, mind maps, shout-outs, virtual manipulatives, storyboards, and more. It’s really up to you how you want to use your Jamboards.

• Using Chrome Extensions like Bitmoji and Giphy easily allow you to add your Bitmoji character or animated images to your boards. Your students will also enjoy adding theirs when responding to Jamboard-based collaborative work.

Because it’s a Google product, Jamboards can be shared with your students using the ubiquitous Share button, or in Google Classroom by searching Drive when creating an assignment. It’s recommended to use Classroom, as students won’t be able to post completely anonymously on your boards. Plus, Classroom allows you to share a copy of your Jamboard with each student if you’d like.
